El 25 de mayo de 1995, me hice un juramento a mí misma: Ser una Realtor con propósito, con ética, y con pasión por servir.

Tenía solo 24 años, muchos sueños en la maleta, y toda la voluntad de crear un futuro con mis propias manos. Luego de 7 años de trabajar en la banca hipotecaria, tomé la importante decisión de lanzarme al mundo independiente de los negocios y crear mi propia empresa, donde aprendí desde el principio que mi única competencia era conmigo misma. As the report suggests, qualifying incomes have outpaced median family incomes, resulting in increasingly difficult affordability conditions. In order to drive buyer interest and offers, you'll need to put in the effort to ensure your home makes a lasting impression. Our real estate agents always say cleaning is the single most important thing you can do in the days and weeks leading to an open house. And we don't mean tidying up. You'll likely need to clean like you've never cleaned before. If you're preparing for an open house, we prepared a quick list of areas many homeowners miss during the cleaning process:

• Start From The Top
  When preparing for an open house, every single surface in the house must be cleaned. Because we tend to focus on what's at eye level, it can be helpful to start at the top of the room to ensure you don't miss any fixtures. Ceiling fans, the top of window fixtures, and picture frames are often missed. Once you've cleaned the top of the room, start working your way down.
  
  
• Don't Forget Your Baseboards
  Because of their position on the floor and near vents, baseboards are great at accumulating dirt, dust, and pet hair. And it's easy to miss! We generally recommend giving your baseboards a good scrub when cleaning the floors. This will help cut down on hidden pet odors as well! 
  
  
• Give Your Garbage Disposal Some Attention
  When was the last time you cleaned your garbage disposal? Chances are you've overlooked cleaning this appliance for some time. If it's been a while, it may even have an odor. We recommend a half-cup of baking soda, one cup of white vinegar, and a chopped citrus peel. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes before turning on the water and running the disposal.
  
  
• Wipe Out The Bottoms Of Your Kitchen Cabinets
  Remember, buyers will be opening every cupboard door in your kitchen, so ensure everything is tidy. Take the time to wipe out the bottoms of each cabinet. Get rid of any food stains or spilled spices and seasonings that may have accumulated over the years. 
  
  
• Make Your Faucets Sparkle
  To help your kitchen and bathroom look as clean as possible, use a bit of baby oil when wiping down stainless steel sinks and faucets. You'll be surprised at how much it will make them shine and sparkle.
  
  
• Clean The Coffee Pot 
  It's easy to turn a blind eye to the condition of appliances we use daily, but if your coffee pot is looking nasty, you'll definitely want to store it away or, at the very least, wipe it down. The appliance should only be on display if it complements the aesthetic beauty of your counter space.

Updating your bathroom vanity can instantly give your entire bathroom a new look that reflects your sense of style. From using paint to switching out the countertop, you can transform the entire room without breaking the bank. Whether you're planning to stay in your current home for a while and would like an update or are selling in the near future and want your home to sell as quickly and for as much as possible, a vanity makeover can help.

Our real estate agents suggest the following inexpensive bathroom vanity updates:

• Create a Weathered Look
  You can create an appealing weathered gray look for your vanity quickly and easily. You'll need just four materials - chalk paint, chalk paint wax, a wax brush, and a dry lint-free rag - to achieve the look. First, apply two coats of the chalk paint to your vanity and wait for the paint to dry after each coat. Then rub the chalk paint wax on in small sections and use the wax brush to work it into crevices and grooves. Any excess can be then wiped away with a rag, and you'll have transformed your bathroom vanity with just a couple of hours of work and a few supplies.
  
  
• Use Stencils or Wallpaper
  In addition to a coat of paint, you can easily transform your bathroom vanity by adding painted stencils for more color and personality. Add two coats of paint to your bathroom vanity, letting each coat dry. Then choose some stencils in a pattern you like and use them to paint a design on your vanity to give it an extra pop. Stencils are particularly budget-friendly since not only are they inexpensive, but you can also reuse them on other projects, including furniture, fabric, and walls.
  
  
• Swap in Some New Hardware
  Adding new hardware is an inexpensive DIY upgrade for all types of cabinets and furniture, and the bathroom vanity is no different. Brushed brass or sleek chrome are often good choices for vanity knobs and drawer pulls, and you'll also want to look at matching them with other bathroom hardware updates, such as the toilet paper holder and towel racks.
  
  
• Update Your Countertop
  If your vanity countertop looks dated or simply doesn't add anything positive to your bathroom's appearance, consider swapping it out for a new one. Granite, quartz, and marble are popular options that are attractive and long-lasting. Or, for a more inexpensive option, use a spray paint like Krylon Make It Stone to give your existing bathroom vanity countertop a fresher, more modern look.
  
  
• Create a Mesh Tile Countertop
  Covering the top of your vanity with mesh tile squares can achieve a dramatic change in appearance. They come in a wide variety of textures, colors, and styles, so they can be used to achieve a wide variety of different looks.
