During this experience Meditation Teacher & singing bowl specialist, Anthony Profeta will use Himalayan Singing bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, tuning forks, and other vibrational tools to de-stress, restore balance, and bring well-being to your body, mind, & soul. If you are new to a Sound Bath Meditation, it is a very therapeutic form of meditation because as sound waves wash over your body, they move the brain into the more relaxed alpha & theta brainwave states. Sound meditations are wonderful for all types of meditators but are especially good for beginners because the tones & frequencies of the instruments give the mind something to hold onto and help cut through the mental chatter and quiet your mind. The Town of Dundee has a Commission-Manager Form of government.  The Commission-Manager form of government combines the political leadership of elected officials in the form of a Town Commission with the managerial experience of an appointed local government manager.  The Town Commission appoints the Town Manager, who in turn appoints and manages all other Town department staff. The qualified voters of the Town of Dundee elect the Mayor and Town Commissioners at-large, meaning they represent all of the citizens in Dundee.  The Mayor and Town Commissioners hold office for four-year terms. The Dundee Town Commission meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall Commission Chambers, located at 202 East Main Street, Dundee, Florida. Students enjoy yoga and the soothing sounds of the crystal singing bowls in this all levels yoga class. From beginner to experienced, all are welcome. Poses are arranged to target the whole body, with an emphasis on spinal movements, with options to go deeper should the student wish. This is a flow style yoga class, linking movement with breath, and includes gentle warm ups and cool downs. Breath techniques may be used to balance the mind and bring relaxation to the body. This 1hr class ends with a beautiful guided 30-minute extended savasana sound meditation. Bring your mat or favorite blanket and pillow and leave feeling spacious, peaceful, refreshed, and relaxed. The Planning and Zoning Board serves as the Local Planning Agency for the Town of Dundee pursuant to the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, Ch. 163, Part II, Florida Statutes, and perform all functions and duties prescribed in the statute.  As the Local Planning Agency, the Planning and Zoning Board coordinates the comprehensive planning program and prepares the comprehensive plan, elements, or portion thereof for the Town of Dundee and recommends amendments to the Comprehensive Plan to the Town Commission for adoption as needed. In addition to this role, the Planning and Zoning Board advises and makes recommendations to the Town Commission regarding applications for amendments to the Official Zoning Map, requests for Special Exceptions or other special designations on property within the Town, and approval or denial of various development applications. The Planning and Zoning Board is responsible for obtaining and maintaining information on population, property values, the land economy, land use, and other information necessary to assess the amount, direction, and type of development anticipated in the Town.  At the request of the Development Director, the Planning and Zoning Board interprets and determines the intent of provisions of the Code that are unclear or in conflict with other regulations and considers the need for revision or addition of regulations in the Unified Land Development Code, including the Land Development Regulations, and recommend changes to the Town Commission. MeetingsThe Planning and Zoning Board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30p.m. However, the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board may set or cancel a meeting.  Please check the Community Calendar for the most recent scheduling status of an upcoming meeting.
